18 days until the 4th Pure//Accelerate and it’s jammed packed full of great sessions covering a ton of different new products, features and solutions. My team will be presenting sessions focused on Microsoft SQL Server, Windows Failover Clustering and NVMe-oF with Windows Server.

Below are all of the sessions that will be presented. If you are running Microsoft SQL Server, Windows Server or Failover Clustering be sure to register for them using the Agenda Builder.

Best Practices: Windows Server Failover (WSFC) Cluster High-AvailabilityNerd level 300-400
We have a lot of customers running Windows Server Failover Clustering (imagine that!) and in this session Rob “Q” Quimbey will be going over all of the best practices of using WSFC with physical and virtualized deployments.

The coolest part of this session will be demonstrating Microsoft SQL Server Failover Cluster Instance with Hyper-V using ActiveCluster. This is a must attend session!

Configuring Windows Server 2019 with NVMe-oF — — Nerd level 300-400
Windows Server does not have native support for NVMe-oF (RoCEv2) out-of-the-box so alternative approaches need to be pursued. I have been working with Broadcom on using their Stingray card to connect to the FlashArray. I will be presenting with Fazil Osman, Distinguished Engineer from Broadcom. Going to get into card design and details so be ready for some nerd time in this session.

Data Protection for Microsoft SQL Server Nerd level 200-300
Our favorite saying when it comes to SQL Server at Pure Storage, “A Snapshot is not a backup!” Data protection is the #1 capability when it comes to any database. In this session Mark Pokorny, SQL Server Solutions Architect, will be covering the details of using a new product integration we have coming, I won’t steal the thunder on this one but if you manage SQL databases, you live in SQL Server Management Studio and you dig PowerShell check this one out. Hmmm…was that stealing a little thunder?

Tips and Tricks: Analyzing Performance Issues for Windows Storage StackNerd level 400
This session is all about demystifying the Storport stack. Mark Pokorny, SQL Server Solutions Architect, will be focused on how to use Xperf/Storport for detailed analysis of what is happening. Takeaway is with this session you’ll be enabled on how to do it yourself. If you are interested in understanding the inner workings of Storport this is the session to attend.

Transform Admins to Storage Superheroes with Windows Admin CenterNerd Level 200
At Microsoft Ignite 2018 we announced our Windows Admin Center Solution Extension and were supported by Microsoft in their sessions and booth showing our integration. Well we are moving towards our GA release and this session is going to be wicked cool. This is a must attend session if you manage Windows Server and FlashArray.

Azure Pipelines with SQL Server and FlashArrayNerd level 300
With just about every organization focused on using DevOps at some level and working with the many tools and products available it is important to get exposure to as many methods as possible. Chris Adkin, SQL Server Solutions Architect, will be coming over from the UK to deliver a compelling session on leveraging Azure Pipelines. If you are working in the DevOps space this is a must attend session.
